@fultoncomm5 Commissioner Arrington Hosts D5 Dope MC Competition

The winners of the Call for Entries will compete for Grand Prizes at Family Fun Day.

Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., is looking best “Mic Controllers” in the rap game. The Commissioner is inviting young MCs to showcase their talent by entering the D5 Dope MC Competition.

The contest is open to artists in two categories – those ages 12 to 16 and those ages 17 to 21. To enter, participants must submit a 2-minute audition track featuring their performances. All performances should include clean content, language, and attire.

The winners from the Call for Entries will compete for Grand Prizes at Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Commissioner Arrington is one of 5 judges rating performances. The other judges include:

Vince Phillips, Esq., Entertainment Attorney, Arrington & Phillips LLP
David Manuel, Director, Fulton County Arts & Culture
Tony Jordan, Deputy Director, City of South Fulton Parks Recreation & Cultural Affairs

The panel of judges will rate entries on appearance, content, delivery, and originality. The first-place winner in each age category will receive a $300-cash prize, a free studio session, and a free 30-minute video or photo shoot.

All 2-minute audition tracks must be submitted to Marvin.Arrington@fultoncountyga.gov by April 4, 2024.
