In response to her plea for assistance, Isis Williams, president of the Haddon Township Equity Initiative, stepped in to help organize a modern-day rent party and launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $23,000.
The overwhelming support from the community surpassed the fundraising goal within a week, ensuring that Ida’s Bookshop can continue its mission of amplifying women authors, artists, and activists.
